Shores: Compendium of Poems offers a refreshing perspective on the universal themes of life, love, social acceptance, and mortality. As an activist and champion of the poor and disenfranchised, Dr. Cleland has skillfully infused pressing social issues such as "cancel culture" and climate change, to name a few, into his work.
DR. SEEKU CLELAND has lived in Maryland with his family for the past 17 years. Originally from Ghana, West Africa, Dr. Cleland is proud of his heritage and has infused his work with Ghanaian cultural symbolism and themes. This book is dedicated to the memory of his late father Ambassador Joseph Quao Cleland, his mentor and hero, and to his surviving mother, Mrs. Naadu Sarah Cleland.
