About The Author

Monique Jones is a Southern New Yorker. She is a spoken word artist that started her creative writing journey in 2003 at the age of ten to express her complex emotion. Her unstable and unpredictable childhood gave her perspective about life and through her lens, her poetry profoundly mirrored the world around her. In her early childhood, God was a prominent expression of her faith in herself but as she transformed into a woman, her concrete belief in God has been self reflective and a collective conscious of being a woman.

Raw and Real

In Nude as Fuck, Monique strips down not just words but the very essence of human emotion, offering poetry that is both unapologetic and deeply intimate. This collection is a raw, unfiltered look at love, loss, self-discovery, and the complexities of existence, written with a voice so honest it feels like a whispered confession and a scream into the void at the same time. The beauty of this book lies in its vulnerability. Monique doesn’t just write poetry; they bleed onto the page, revealing wounds that haven’t fully healed, desires that burn without restraint, and truths that many shy away from admitting even to themselves. There’s an electrifying tension in the way each piece navigates between softness, sharpness banter and wit. The writings are sometimes tender and aching, other times bold and unrelenting. This is an enjoyable trip. You will not regret making this book purchase. What makes Nude as Fuck so refreshing is its refusal to be anything but real. In an era where poetry often leans toward the curated and polished, this book reminds us of the power of raw expression. The words aren’t perfectly placed for aesthetic appeal—they hit like punches, they soothe like lullabies, they exist as they are, undiluted and fearless. If you’ve ever craved poetry that doesn’t hold back, that isn’t afraid to be messy, that feels like a late-night conversation where all pretenses are dropped—this is the book for you. Nude as Fuck isn’t just a collection of poems; it’s an experience, one that will stay with you long after you turn the last page.
