My Beautiful Chaotic Mind is a collection of writing gathered through the years since the author's freshmen year of highschool up until her early 20's. The book is a journey through her thoughts and emotions, as well as her transformation from a teenager to an adult. The relatable words that fill these pages were brought to life and given to the world in hopes to help others feel seen, heard, and cared for. Through the author's healing journey and transformation from highschool to adulthood she aims to help others heal as well and bring together groups of people going through similar or completely different situations. Everyone has a story and everyone's story deserves to be heard.
Kyrsten McGee is a young, new author from Chicago who has had a passion for writing her whole life. She first began writing in elementary school and even won awards for her writing in the Illinois young authors competition in 1st and 2nd grade. Her passion for poetry began in 4th grade when she was given a book of poems by her teacher; her love for both reading and writing poetry has simply grown ever since. Besides reading and writing, Kyrsten enjoys spending time in nature, learning new recipes, traveling with family, and immersing herself in music. Fun fact, she also has family ties in the music industry, McGee's paternal grandfather was Chuck "The Voice" Roberts, the voice of house music. Coming from a musical family, writing with passion came easy to Kyrsten and has influenced her in many aspects of her life. There is nothing she doesn't do that is not done with passion and drive, including her writing.
