In this collection of poems, Heshna Bhagawan takes the readers through the journey of healing and self-discovery, delving into themes of identity, resilience, and the transformative power of selflove. Each piece reflects moments of growth, vulnerability, and the quiet strength found in embracing one’s true self. These poems encourage readers to seek the good in every situation, to see life not as something that happens to them, but as something that happens for them, inspiring a deeper understanding of how personal evolution shapes our path toward healing, inner peace, and ultimately, gratitude for the journey.
Heshna Bhagawan was born in Mauritius and has called Edmonton home for over a decade. Her love for writing began in childhood, at just 9 and 10 years old while living in England, two of her poems were selected for publication by the Young Writers’ Publishers. Since then, poetry has become her way of exploring healing, identity, self-love, and the quiet strength in kindness. Her work carries a touch of introspective, blending lyrical depth with raw emotion, reflecting a journey shaped by personal growth and resilience. Outside the world of words, Heshna is pursuing a career in STEM—fueled by her lifelong love of math and science. She finds joy in hiking, travel, and discovering new cuisines. Heshna believes that both poetry and a shared meal have the power to nourish the soul.
