Behind almost every democratic and governmental entity is a group of smart and hard-working young people ready to make a change. This book dives into all the ways that young people have been able to alter the world and stand up against corruption. Furthermore, it goes into how young people living in today’s world are able to make a difference in the government in all sorts of ways, such as volunteering for local campaigns and working at the polls during elections. The methods detailed in this book are designed to inspire America’s youth to participate in democracy, even if they are not yet old enough to vote. More generally, this book is helpful for anyone interested in politics, democracy, and changing the country and the world for the better.
Abigail (Abbie) Saxen is a student motivated by a passion for both law and science. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, she values physics, chemistry, and aviation, and loves applying science to law. As an enthusiastic member of her school’s debate team, Abbie both competes and coaches younger students on her team. She volunteers extensively in community outreach and political activism, aspiring to have a meaningful influence on her community. Her dedication includes her current legal research, and she hopes to attend law school and become a lawyer one day. Despite a busy schedule, Abbie always finds time to go on runs and watch football. She is a devoted reader with a proclivity toward academia and fiction genres. Through her miscellaneous interests and strong diligence, Abbie is determined to make substantial contributions in the courtroom, the scientific community, and the sphere of public service.
